Family dentistry is a “people”-centered treatment service. We provide patients with a full range of dental consultation and oral care, including tooth cleaning, cavity filling, simple root canal treatment and denture replacement treatment. If you encounter cross-disciplinary or complex cases, BestSmile team will also assist you in referring you to other specialists for continued treatment.

We provides treatment for patient in all phases of life, from infant, children, teenagers, adults to seniors.

Infant (0-1 Years)

Oral health care should starts even before the first tooth sprouts in infants, which are very much neglected in Malaysia. Bring your infant to dental clinic enable them to adapt to a friendly dental environment, familiarize with the dentist for future dental management. Parents are advised to bring their babies to the dentist once the first tooth erupted (usually around 6 months old) for check up and parents will be educated on how to take care for the teeth. Having your babies into your family dentistry plan for regular and up-to-date oral health care ensures your child develops a good oral habits and motivate them enjoy going to the dentist.

Toddlers & Gradeschooler (1-12 years)

It is important to care for your child’s teeth right from the start. Teeth cleaning alone isn’t a guarantee against tooth decay but with practicing healthy habits can prevent or reduce tooth decay (cavities) in children in the long run. Routine visit to clinic allowing children to adapt to clinic setting will reduce the unnecessary association with fear and trauma. Some children at this age may experience some amount of crowding or irregularities with the way the permanent teeth come into the mouth, if there is any misalignment of the teeth or jaw, dentist will advise if there is a need for corrective treatment too.

Teenager & Young Adults (13-20 years)

It is important to continue to practice healthy habits during the teen years and continue to have routine visits to the dentist. Early and frequent screening on oral health among young adults helps to detect untreated diseases and risk habits which prompt for early intervention. Dentist can educate teenagers on the adopting healthy lifestyles, the danger of smoking tobacco and vaping towards in preventing dental caries, periodontal diseases and which may lead to further diseases. Orthodontic treatment (braces) usually are introduced to teenagers at this age group if needed.

Adults (21-59 years)

Oral health is essential to general health and well-being. Diseases and conditions of the mouth have a direct impact on the health of the entire body. Dental caries (tooth decay), periodontal (gum) disease and tooth loss are the common issues seen in adults. We dentist are here to help to maintain good oral health, treat your dental issue and restore oral function. As we age, specialised care is needed for issue like dry mouth, pain/difficulty in eating, teeth attrition and root decay which all can have impact on oral condition. Neglection of proper oral health care due to physically impairment in seniors will lead to more oral condition.
